Baby Berry only made it to 38 Weeks and 2 days. Even though he may have felt like he was the size of a mini watermelon we did not make it to that week, Week 39.

I was not really interested in doing the 3-D ultrasound, because it is just to get a look at your baby again. I feel him all the time, I am 100% aware that he is in there! Plus they sorta freak me out, I am not really a big fan of the 3-D pics, but I am sure I will appreciate the memories later. There is absolutely no medical benefit what-so-ever, but at the end of the day I bit the bullet and scheduled it. The truth is Eric did not get to go to the anatomy ultra-sound so he has not seen Baby Berry in action. He was at the 7 week ultrasound which tells you that there is a baby in there, that is about it. If he could not go to this one, I would have cancelled it. I went okay, but baby was sucking on his toes most of the time which caused his foot to block his face. When the tech tried to get him to move his foot and he did not it was assurance to Eric that it is my baby because he was clearly being stubborn. (Eric’s sweet words of course)
Awesome picture of Baby Berry’s Foot:
Frontal view of his face, with his foot again.
Frontal of the face, you can see his nose and his foot again. Eric says he has the Roberts’ nose, meaning you can not miss it.
As you can imagine the house will be changing soon. We still have a few more weeks before we find out what kind of baby we will be having and nothing will be done until we get to that point. Until then the house remains in the current stage of remodeling. Everything is complete but with any total remodel and having to replace certain pieces of furniture it takes time. On with the tour:
Living Room
Dining Room
Kitchen
Eat in Kitchen
Guest Room
Master Bedroom
Junk Room: To be Nursery
Gym: Work in Progress
Atrium
The news is out! We are having a baby. We have know since I was 4 weeks pregnant, but kept it super secret until at least 9 weeks when we told our parents. With my medical history, it was just what worked best for us. Although, in this world of new media, once the news is out…it is out. We actually did something that I did not picture us ever doing, by actually announcing it on Facebook. In the end, we really wanted to announce it ourselves verses other people posting and announcing it. So we bit the bullet yesterday and put it out there. Some might think we would post it on the blog first, but the blog is actually public where as Facebook is not open to whole world. I have not told my employer yet and do not know exactly when that one is going to go down. I just have not found the right time yet. Although if I am ready or not that time is coming!
Baby berry and I are doing well. Other than not wanting to really eat. Baby and Travis (my tummy) are not agreeing on eating just yet. As you know Travis is not a fan of food and, like most babies, this one does require food. Silly baby!!!
I won’t post too much as I am sure all you really want to see is the growing baby. If you have any questions, put them in the comments and I will write back or post again to answer them.
I am going to start trying to be more constant about taking side photos of my covered and un-covered belly. Trying being the operative word!
Starting Weight: 132lbs
| Week 7: 129 lbs | Weeks: 8: 128 lbs | Week 9: 129 lbs |
| Week 10: 129 lbs | Week 11: 131.5 lbs | Week 12: 134 lbs |
| Week 13: 134 lbs | ||
There you have it folks, the growth of baby berry thus far.
My Sweet Baby Bogo is 3 years old today! In the last year my Bogo has grown up quite a bit.
He has begun bringing home dead animals (plural) on many occasions. He is very proud of his catches and likes to show them off. He has also become a bit of a fighter. Yes, he is the “badass kitty” of the neighborhood. Just last week he came home after a fight he was having in our backyard, with what we thought were battle wounds. Come to find out they were not his battle wounds, my sweet Bogo had someone else’s blood on his paw and nose. Trust me ,after the noises we heard and the blood Bogo brought home with him, I would hate to have seen the other guy!!! Apparently you do not step on Bogo’s turf.
Bogo would like me to point out that this is a photo of him is in March and where he is still carrying his winter fur! He is still at a stable 11 lbs which is the same as last years weigh in.
This was taken yesterday while Bogo played in an empty laundry basket, one of his favorite pastimes!
Happy Birthday sweet badass kitty!
Last night I mentioned to my husband that I needed him to load my blog link thingy (yes I am technical like that) on my computer so I could blog. His response, “oh that’s why you haven’t been blogging, I just thought that you did not want to blog anymore.”
First , I must admit that I do not know how to get to post to my blog without Windows Live Writer (the blog link thingy) and that I do not know or care to know how to do all this without my husband. It is not really that I do not know how, it is that he is an enabler and he has allowed me to become helpless. Second, my computer was stolen back when our house was robbed in March. My mother-in-law sent me a laptop that she “just had lying around” and that is why I needed Eric to reload my blogging program. Third, from New Year’s to March there is not much of an excuse other than the flood’s which made me a sour puss whom only complained! There is not fun in just hearing me complain ALL the time, so I sort of got out of the habit blogging as no one really want to hear me complain again and again.
Window’s Live Writer is back on my computer so I should be back in business! Meaning there are really no more excuses, but that does not mean that I will not come up with one later! ![]()

My Mother-in-law not only gifted me a laptop, but also a camera because that was also something that was MIA due to the robbery. The reason that I said that this is just something that she “just had lying around” is because anytime I mention to my MIL that something broke, I broke something, it was stolen, etc, she ALWAYS responds with, “oh I have an extra one lying around, I will send it to you tomorrow.” Example, coffee pot (I dropped mine and it shattered!), hair clippers (Eric had long hair for about MANY months because his were stolen, (yes we realize this is a weird and sort of gross thing to steal.), laptop, camera, you get the picture….pun intended. The laptop and the camera where actually things that she did have already and had replaced with new ones for herself so they really were extras and “just lying around”, but most of the time these things are brand new and in the box sealed. She insists that she meant to give me that new coffee pot for Christmas……whatever…..but really if the worst thing is that my MIL insists on taking care of us when things are rougher than normal it really is not the end of the world. I used to think it was, but I have learned to live with it and appreciate it!
With all that has happened in the first part of this year all I have been really doing is complaining! Seriously, my toilet flooded my house, my drain flooded my house, my shower flooded my house (during the repair phase), Luke got bit by a German Sheppard, we fired our contractor because he sucks, I have to move out while the new contractor fixes the bad job that the last contractor “thought” he finished, my house was robbed (possibly by the first contractor’s workers), whine whine whine whine!!!!!!!! Now you are all caught up, really I promise you did not miss much, all I did was complain!!!!!
Life is getting back on track and I will certainly post some photos of the new digs, not really any in progress shots. (as in those where on the camera and computer that were stolen, whine whine whine.) We were lucky that nothing more happened than losing a few possessions after all this is Texas and these folks love their guns. Probably was one of the reasons that they were disappointed with the haul that they got from our house!
It is so good to be back, I feel better connected with the world already! Here’s to blogging in the future and not in the past, cheers!

Today my husband is home, I do not have fans in my house and I have a voice! I have to tell you that is reason for celebrating, celebrating with a nap! I am so tired. I honestly think this is the longest week that I have had in about 6 months. I still have a bit of congestion, but I feel tons better! I am so happy to be spending the weekend doing nothing but relaxing and catching up on some much needed rest and recuperation.
Side Note: Why in my bosses car today I ended up with a velcro bag on my lap and it put two wholes in my tights, yikes, no fun at all! I went to payless to replace my purple tights, no dice, I guess I will soon be replacing my favorite tights of the season!
What is Black and White and Red all over? I have no clue, something about a skunk wrapped in newspaper……..Yeah that is probably not it either……..
My husband is home and if I do not have to use the timer on the camera I totally take that chance. Although Eric thought that he would be funny and take my daily picture way before I was ready. He said, and I quote,”I thought the world should see Cassie the way I always see her, on her phone.” Eric did take more than just this photo, but I figure why not keep it real. This is me….reading my e-mail…..
Side Note: My skirt has pockets ![]()
