My Crappy Birthday!!!!!!

On my birthday I woke up to an e-mail from my Eric.  The e-mail was a receipt of purchase and it included the message Happy Birthday.

Now if you are not a woot (one day discount electronic deals) shopper I am sure that you are thinking, what did he buy for $8.00, but if you are a woot shopper I am sure that you have already figured out that he bought a BAG OF CRAP!!!!  That's right my husband got me a "Bag of Crap" for my birthday and I couldn't be more excited!!!!

Every couple of months or so Woot will offer the “Bag O’Crap” deal.  It’s a bag full of random stuff like dollar store items, but possibly electronics items as well. You can purchase up to three craps, and if you buy three, you’ll have better chances of getting something non crappy.  There’s definitely a reason it’s called “Random Crap.”  Sometimes you get random crap and sometimes you get fairly decent items or you might get lucky and get something super valuable like a fancy vacuum or even a flat screen tv.  We didn't get anything too fabulous and we only got one thing that was pure crap item so for $8.00 total. (3 bags of crap at a $1.00 each and then $5.00 S&H)

You can purchase a limit of three "bags of crap" and it is one standard shipping fee no matter what so why not buy three bags of crap for one standard shipping fee.  The kicker is that it is really hard to get your hands on a "bag of crap" because it sells out in about the first 5 minutes or so and it comes up for sale at 12:00AM.  You typically do not know when it is going to happen but you can be sure that they are going to make an attempt to fool you on April Fool's Day.  Eric stayed up to purchase a "bag of crap" for the Cassie Birthday.  He had to read through the "bag of crap" story about the random crap, read the riddle, figure out the answer and then type the answer into the coupon code.  The April Fool's Day Crap is typically 1,000,001.00 per "bag of crap", now crap is worth more than a dollar but not that much.  The coupon code that is the answer to the riddle and then takes the price of the "crap" down to $1.00.  We just got our bag of crap, well box of crap, in the mail on Wednesday and I am super excited to report the items that we got.

Random Crap:

2 - YAY, it's broccolii t-shirts.  (One went to my Mom and if you know my Mom and her eating habits this is really fun!!!)

1 - Weather radio and flash light

1 - Scan disk 1 GB MP3 Player

1 - woot screaming flying monkey

1- random bucket of pure crap, in the form of wires and broken electronic tangled up and thrown in a bucket to be sent to yours truly

In the 3 or so years that Eric and I have been Woot shoppers this is only the second "Bag of Crap" that we have gotten.  Eric may disagree, but I tend to think that one ever year or so is enough for me.  It is fun, stressful and crappy all at the same time!!!
