SNOW

I am sure by now you have either heard of the snow that we had here in the south or you live here therefore you experienced it first hand.  One thing that I totally love about Alabama (besides my Eric) is that it does snow here every once in a while.  In the 13+ years that I lived in South Carolina it snowed twice, I think.  Everyone in the south is familiar with the storm of the century in 1993, in SC or AL it does not matter.  For me particularly this was my 10th birthday party.  Not only was it my 10th birthday party, but it was the morning of my first sleep-over birthday party.  My mom feed us cake and ice-cream for breakfast, because we had no power.  We were not concerned at all that there was no power we were totally pumped about the menu!  Funny thing about this is I do not remember the actual snow.  I am sure that it was out there but the point is that it never stuck.  I know that it doesn't last here but at least you can see it and it does cover the ground which at the current age of 25 I still think it is super cool!  In the year and half that E and I have been back in Birmingham it has snowed 4 times, I think that is awesome and enough for me all at the same time.

For your viewing pleasure.

E brought Bogo out for his first snow, he wanted to go back inside.

If you look closely you can see that Bogo has made it out to the porch and is checking things out.

We went down the street to visit Mom and Daisy Lou. (Daisy has submitted a formal change of address card with the McCalla Post Office for all biscuits to be forwarded to her Gma's House.)  She stills loves her parents very much but not as much as those people that caused her to gain 5 pounds in 3 weeks.

Eric thought that Dad's truck needed its very own snow decorations in the form of a snow bunny and a snowman.

Later on in the morning after pancakes and before my nap, it began to snow again!  It was really coming down strong.  When I awoke from my rest it was gone

With Scarlett passing in October, Daisy has been spending more and more time down the road.  She is still "mine" but hasn't been home over night for more than a month.

Missed your posts. Wasn't the snow beautiful and courteous? I am so glad it knew not to overstay it's welcome.
