It's a genetic thing--the box cat(s). Everyone of his relatives here are virtually obsessed with boxes. They are to sit, play, and sleep on & in, to chew, scratch and mutiliate. So very much pleasure for "found toys". Life is very simple for cats, it is us human who need fancy things.
