Running, who is chasing me?
I know a girl that always used to say, "If you see me running call 911 because someone is chasing me." Most of the time I agree with that statement. I am not saying that I don't exercise, I do, I love Jazzercise!!! I am just not a fan of the whole running craze. Haven't really every thought of jumping on that wagon. While my husband runs I ride my bicycle beside him. To keep him company, I am also no longer aloud to ride my bicycle unsupervised. (Me falling off of it would be why I am currently a part of the "ride on parole program.")
Last night I was having dinner with some friends at one of their homes. (I sort of invited myself, but that is another story.) During the dinner conversation I brought up the fact that these two girls are currently planning on running the half marathon in February. I began to ask them what they thought of doing the relay instead because they are not currently running. They are both beginning their training this month. I was just thinking why not really set goals that are really reachable and that maybe could be enjoyable instead of boarding on cause for suicide watch. No where in this discussion did I saw, "cause I really want us to form a team."
Long story short I am 100% in. I am 99% sure that this is something that I can do. I am asking you, my blog buddies for your utmost support and continued nagging with this. I am going to need everyone I know to hold me accountable so that I can achieve this goal.
The tentative plan for Cassie Lee "The Running Years (6 months)"
September 5k 3.1 mile run
October 5K 3.1 mile run Breast Cancer Run
November 10k 6.2 mile run Vulcan
February maybe 6 or 7 miles (my portion of the relay) Mercedes Marathon.
My portion could end up being just a 5k, or 10k, I just want to make sure that I am able to run my portion well and not just run to finish and be a part of it. I plan on training now so that I will have an increase progress along with a lower time. So that is the plan, be sure to bug me about it continuously. Eric, this does not mean you, but thanks for starting early!

I will bug you Cass, because I know you will bug me. I also need to be held accountable. Spencer is a bad influence so I need someone to push me too! We can do this! "Power to the girls!!!!"
