I am now part of the Jewish Community

As of Friday I accepted a job offer from the Collat Jewish Family Services.  I am very excited to be starting my new position in the Clinic on Wednesday the 27th of February.   Weeks ago my Eric asked me what I wanted for Valentines Day, I said, "A JOB!"  He said ok, I can do that you will have a job by V-day.  I went for my first interview for this job on the 11th and then my second on the 20th, was given the offer on the 21st and I accepted it on the 22nd.  I am pleased to say that I got my Valentine's gift and excited to start experiencing it next week.

I am not starting until Wednesday, I think I need to ease back into this whole full-time thing, heheheh, no seriously.  Me, up at 6:00, five days a week, this is going to be an adjustment.

This has been a long journey of finding the right job.  For a long time I had no leads at all.  Then all of a sudden four very different opportunities were in the works of all coming together at the same time.  There were two that were excellent opportunities and when having the blessings of being able to take my pick I remember saying, "I only wanted one!!!"

Funny how your dilemmas change.

There were several factors that have gone into this choice and I am pleased to say that I am very excited about my new job and that I have no desires or doubts about the other.

I can not wait to start my "big girl job."  (In my world that means it has benefits.)  I have made decent money following my college years, but I have never had benefits, it is not a common practice in my profession.  These days benefits are not just Ins., it is the paid holidays and vacations that I am excited about.  You can get your own IRA and Eric has Ins., but taking off work I do not normally get paid, so I am excited about that.   Plus now I will get all the Jewish holidays too.

I think Eric has 3 weeks this year or 3 1/2 and now I have 3 so we will be taking at least a week of that, but of course that will be after we sell "our investment property."

Congratulations on the new job! I feel your excitement. That is the way life works..choices, many choices. The same thing will happen on your "investment property". You will have several prospective buyers to choose from at one time.
