Daisy has been sick for about three days now.  Her bed has been washed more times this week than it had been in the prior year.  She is just having a tough time, but we are keeping an eye on her and hope that she will be good as new soon.

After my AM Jazzercise I came home and took the kids for a walk. 

We having been having problems with a neighborhood stray for over three months now.  I have called animal control and they have been no help at all. 

Today on the way back from our walk the dog attacked Daisy.  It was out on the sidewalk in front of the people's house who feed it.  We walked by back to our house and something triggered and they got into it.  Daisy fought back, which I was actually pretty proud of her for, while Luke hid behind me with his tail between his legs over his puddle on the sidewalk.

This was the last straw for me, I called the police.  They came out and then went down and talked to the people where the dog "hangs" out and for once he was still out in the road when someone came to see about it.  After the officer talked to them he came back and told me that they claimed ownership of the dog.  If he is out again to call back and they will come out and call animal control themselves to make sure that the dog gets picked up.

I do hate it for their son, and for the dog, but something had to be done about it.  Daisy is twice the dog's size, but we know that little Miss Priss couldn't hurt a fly. He is kinda sweet but any stray dog is going to snap at times and he did.  Like I said this has been an on going issue for several months now.  Hopefully they will put him on a leash and then no one will have to lose their dog and they can all live happily ever after.
