After my grandma died about five years ago we began to see evidence that she was hanging around our house.  I completely forgot about this when Eric and I decided to buy this house.  Grandma quickly reminded me that she is still around.

I promised you late at night when I am in the kitchen Grandma is too.  The kitchen was always grandma's favorite room in the house.  She was never a night owl, but she would get up in the middle of the night quite often.  That is exactly when I feel her standing right behind me.

Recently I have been coming home in the middle of the day to see that my shoes are on the island.  Now never in my adult life have I ever been in the habit of putting my shoes on the kitchen counters.  The first time Eric was out of town, so I thought maybe I was just out of my routine and lost my mind for a bit.  The second time it was during the holidays and I was suspicious but I thought that I was just busy and had made an error.  But today that was not the case.  I am positive that when I was leaving the house I looked at my shoes on the floor and thought I need to put those in the closet when I get back.  They were sitting on the floor under the island where I had kicked them off the last time that I wore them.  Well, when I came home, much to my discomfort they were on the island.

I took a picture of them, once I got my composure back.

Then I decided that I would clean the house cause maybe Grandma thought that I needed to sweep and mop.  Which was true and probably something that she would hint to if she was here in the flesh.
